2017 Meet Results:

State results 5/20/17

Athletes had to finish in the Top 8 to earn All-State Honors.

Our kids competed very well this weekend. We had a lot of youth on our team qualify for state this year with 7 out of our 12 athletes being freshman. We talked a lot about just what an honor and a privilege it is to have just made it this far. It was a great way to end the season and I'm so proud of all the kids. I'm also proud of my other 14 athletes that did not qualify for state and looking forward to seeing what we can do next year.

Congrats to our track team as we had everyone who went to sectionals qualify for state!

Boys finished 6th place overall out of 18 teams. Girls finished 3rd place overall out of 18 teams.

Overall we had a great meet considering the rain and the cold. Our girls did great they finished 4th out of 18 teams. The schools that finished ahead of them were all Class 2 schools. I'm very proud of them. Our boys did great as well. They finished 8th out of 18 teams.

Stockton Warm-Up 3-23-17
Overall we had a real great showing at our first track meet of the year. We always shake off a lot of rust and get out some of those nerves in the first meet of the year. It's a great warm-up for us and an opportunity for our kids to get to practice on a real track. Our girls did great they finished 4th out of 19 teams. The schools that finished ahead of them were all Class 3 or Class 2 schools. So I'm very proud of them, and I know they have a lot of high expectations for themselves. Our boys did great as well. They finished 8th out of 19 teams and had only two Class 1 teams ahead of them. We have only three returning Letterman from last season. Even though we have a lot of youth, I look for them to grow a lot as the season progresses and look for them to have a great season as well. Results 3-23-17

Results from Districts 5-9-15
This was the first District Championship ever for Boy's Track. This is an incredible feat that is very hard to achieve in Track and Field. It takes so many different types of athletes to be able to achieve this. We had some incredible performances and we hope to do well again this next week at Sectionals.
Marek Thompson broke his existing Shot Put Record which was 47'4.75"
Marek Thompson also broke the Discus Record which was 155'1" held by Jim Tyson in 1993.

Our girls also did an amazing job finishing 5th place overall with only 9 girls competing.

Congratulations to these individuals who earned All-District honors and will be advancing to sectionals.

The following 11 athletes are moving on in 13 events to the State Track meet this weekend @ Jefferson City:

Results from State Track May 22-23, 2015
"I'm very proud of all of the kids. Making it to the state track meet is an honor that most kids don't get to experience. All of the kids gave their very best this weekend and we had some bright spots. I know the boys had higher expectations for the weekend, but sometimes you just have an off day. It was a great historic season for the boys and they should be proud of the season they've had." - Coach C. Carney

"Nora was our lone girl competing at the state track meet. She did an amazing job running this weekend. She PR'd by 4 seconds in her mile and 6 seconds in her 800. She had a DIFFICULT task taking ON some tough competition the last two weeks, but she did a great job." - Coach C. Carney

Marek Thompson - All State Shot Put
Eli Mitchell - All State 100
Rylan Sommer, Driston Self, Logan DeWitt, Eli Mitchell - 4x100m Relay State Champions (Three years in a row)
Nora Wheatley - All State in 1600 and 800
